About Us

Our objective is to promote and develop organized amateur ice hockey for girls, serving the rural communities of Blenheim, Bothwell, Dresden and Ridgetown in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, as a member of the Ontario Women's Hockey Association.

Our goal is to ensure that any girl desiring to play hockey in these communities has a place to play.

Association history

With its early, informal beginnings as the Ridgetown-Dresden Girls Hockey Association, an expansion to include the girls hockey programs in Blenheim and Bothwell prompted a name change to and formal incorporation of the Kent County Girls Hockey Association.
Levels of Play

Our association presently has teams competing at the Atom, Peewee, Bantam and Midget age groups.  Our plan is to have Intermediate representation also.

Our competitive teams compete in both the Western Ontario Girls Hockey League and the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League

Our local league teams also compete in the Western Ontario Girls Hockey League.
